September marks the end of summer, the start of fall, the first month back to school (for many) and… Fashion month! New York Fashion Week, London Fashion Week, Milan Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week all took place in this busy month. While designers show the collections for the next season, we see all of the biggest influencers wearing the most beautiful fall clothes. Unfortunately I didn’t attend any of the big fashion weeks, but I did attend some other really exciting events. Curious to find out how fashionable my September was?
VOGUE FLOWER MARKET
This vogue event was just too cute! There were flowers everywhere and amazing photo booths/photo locations. There was live music, drinks, ice cream, perfume, jewellery and fashion. What else does a girl need? The event took place in the beautiful gardens of the Rijksmuseum. Surrounded by gorgeous flowers, I had to try and draw/paint them myself; thank you Rijksmuseum for the great workshop! Thank you Vogue for the lovely afternoon!
AMSTERDAM FASHION WEEK
A week later, I went to Amsterdam Fashion Week. I met so many great people in the fashion industry, who inspire me a lot. I also was lucky enough to witness three fashion shows of amazing designers. I loved the Zoe Karssen and Le Café Noir Studio shows. The collections were cool, edgy and super refreshing. I can’t wait to wear the amazing items! During this week, there was a special exhibition in the Rijksmuseum for Fashion Week visitors. It was called ‘Rijksmuseum Fashion Tours’, 3 well-known dutch fashionista’s (Bibi van der Velden, Linda Tol & Marloes Hoedeman) developed this tour in collaboration with the Rijksmuseum. During the tour, we analysed paintings and clothing items focussing upon the fashion choices made in the Golden Century. It was such an interesting experience!
JANSEN-NOY FASHION EVENT
After a make-up session at Dior Make-Up, I went to the great store Jansen-Noy. They had a ‘Friday Fashion Night’ event. I tried on clothes from many different brands, met Maria Tailor, talked to stylists and enjoyed some great drinks and sweets. What a perfect way to start the weekend!
This was my fashion month, I’m ready for you October!
Thank you so much for reading this blog. How was your September? Let me know in the comments!
Lots of love,
