I’m back with a new travel diary for you. I just came back from a trip to Ireland. It was amazing! I went to Ireland for a few days and stayed with a friend of mine in County Westmeath.
Are you curious what I did on my trip? Then please read on…
Wednesday was the day of my arrival, it was so great to see my friend again!
On Thursday we went on a hike with friends. We climbed up the Rosemount Hill which gave us an amazing view over the region. We also passed a lot of cows on our way. Clumsy as I am, I even got a shock from a wire that prevents the cows from escaping the fields…
The next day we explored the city of Athlone, did some shopping and went on a boat tour over the Shannon, the longest river of Ireland!
In the evening I watched my friend’s Gaelic Football practice, which was really fun!
Saturday morning I got driving lessons from my friend’s dad. I got to drive over the fields in a Jeep, this was such a cool experience! After this we bought chickens, and of course I had to take a picture with them 😉
In the afternoon we went to Galway, a very nice city on the West coast of Ireland. Unfortunately the weather was miserable… Nevertheless we had a great time exploring the city. We also visited the Cathedral of Galway, which was stunning!
Sunday was my last morning in Ireland. I watched a Gaelic Football match in the pouring rain… The weather was bad but it was still really interesting to see the game. We then went to an Irish pub where we met up with our friends and had lunch. And then it was time for me to go home!
Thank you so much to all of my Irish friends, I had an amazing time with all of you. See you soon.
Lots of love,
