Welcome back to my first blog after my ‘The American Dream’ blogpost series. Today, I will be talking about something totally different than travelling; I will be discussing a bit of fashion again (yay!).
Animal print is a trend that has been going on for quite some time now. Therefore I figured I would dedicate a blogpost to the styling of items with this print since it can be quite difficult sometimes: you don’t want your outfit to be too much, but at the same time you want to make sure that the print really stands out like an eye catcher. I present to you, four different looks with this trend including some styling tips. I hope you get some inspiration out of this blogpost!
Outfit number one – the casual chic leopard look
A couple of weeks ago, I attended Amsterdam Fashion Week. Of course, I wanted to show up in a super trendy and fashion forward look. I have to admit that I did have quite some struggles while picking out the outfit, because it had to be cute, trendy and a bit warm; a challenge! I beforehand knew I wanted to wear this red, midi skirt with split from NA-KD Fashion. The leopard print on this piece is subtle and because of the silky material it looks extra chic. To dress this piece down a bit and to make it look more ‘streetstyle’ I threw a white H&M hoodie on top with the text ‘love’ embroidered on the chest. I added my go to chunky sneakers from BRONX and that was it! I am really happy with how this look turned out 🙂 .
Outfit number two – business meets playful
For the second outfit I wanted to pair my new leopard print leggings from H&M with something a bit more classy, since this is quite a tight and extravagant piece and I felt like I needed something really plain on top of the bottoms to make sure that the outfit wasn’t too extra. I went for a plain button up shirt (from Primark) together with a black blazer, which I got at H&M (again, oops). I combined this outfit with my black Calvin Klein handbag and my beloved sneakers; a great look for fall which will keep me warm!
Outfit number three – the last days of summer
This look is great for the hotter fall days, like last weekend in the Netherlands. I felt like summer 2.0 was coming up! Sadly it was only for two days, though I love the fall season and the weather that comes with it as well. This very cute and super comfortable (it’s so stretchy!) H&M leopard print skirt combines perfectly with a white or black top. I decided to go for a white polo top to make the outfit less casual. I wore my Gucci sunnies to finish this look. By the way, am I the only one that sometimes just brings sunglasses to wear them in my hair as a headband? This outfit looks great with sandals and sneakers!
Outfit number four – the snake
I think snakes deserve some attention too after all of the leopards above. This amazing jumpsuit is great for days when you are not sure what to wear; just pull this one out of your closet and a stunning look is born! Guess where I got this one from… Haha it’s from H&M again, I really only now realize how many items from this store I have hanging in my closet. This jumpsuit comes with a matching waist belt, but I decided to change things up and added a thin, black belt with studs. I wore the same Calvin Klein bag from two looks ago and paired it with my sneakers to make the style a bit more edgy.
Okay, those were my four looks including animal prints! Did you like these outfits and do you own a lot of these prints? Let me know in the comment section down below.
See you soon with another blog!
Lots of love,
